Italy opens borders soon!

It has been announced that Italy will be opening it's borders on June 3.  This was one of the strictest and longest lockdowns in all of Europe.  On May 18 bars, restaurants, shops, and hair salons are also opening.  The impetus for these openings while the virus rages on is Tourism, or rather the lack of tourism. The lockdown has cost Italy over 10 billion Euros.  These openings are what tourism operators have been hoping for.  Tourism in Italy accounts for approx. 13% of the GDP.  Let's hope the airline industry recuperates and flights begin to be available again.

I visited Larry's Lake Garda condo in August 2019 and could not have been happier! The location right across the street from the lake was heaven, the walk to Torri del Banaco 7 or so minutes, effortless, and the weather terrific. Its easy to catch a bus across the street to travel north or south along the lake, where ever your fancy takes you. The condo has all you need to cook basic meals. The garden is lovely to relax in and enjoy sunset happy hour drinks and/or dinner. It is quiet and peaceful. I will visit when the times and rules allow again in a heartbeat. Worth the stay!!
